There are many kiddos in the Nac Community who are currently receiving treatments at Texas Children's. You can help these kids by donating during the quarterly blood drive at FirstNac on November 2, 2025 between 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Please contact Terri Thompson (936) 554-1721 or terrthompson75965@gmail.com to sign-up.

The first Sunday of every month is I CAN Sunday. Please bring you non-perishable items for replenishing Buckley's Pantry, HOPE and/or SFA Food Pantry.  Please place your items in the baskets in the hallway.

On Sunday, November 16 we will only be having one service at 11:05 a.m., directly following will be a Thanksgiving Potluck lunch. The church will provide the turkey. Please bring your favorite side dish to share!

Reminders:

Plastic Bag Collection

The mobile food pantry is a growing ministry! We serve more than 400 families on the third Tuesday of every month. Please save your plastic bags to support our distribution efforts and drop them off in the collection box by the choir room.

Candy Donation Request

We are requesting candy donations for Trunk-or-Treat. Please bring candy to the church by Tuesday, October 28. The Candy collection center is outside the Sanctuary.

Youth Project Teal Trunk or Treat

This year, our youth group will be participating in the Teal Pumpkin Project sponsored by the nonprofit, FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education). We recognize that not all kids can enjoy Halloween trick-or-treating due to the risk of allergen exposure. So, our trunk at the annual FirstNac UMC Trunk or Treat on October 29th will offer non-food treats.  Help us fill our trunk by donating items like glow sticks, stickers, and bubbles! The collection bin is located in the hallway near the Sanctuary.

The SFA Wesley Foundation College Ministry is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Office Administrator.

FirstNac Service Opportunities

Community Outreach Opportunities

Our church has several trained Stephen Ministers who are waiting  to be a compassionate confidential listener to those who are struggling.

Maybe it's you or someone you know who is experiencing grief over the loss of a loved one, reduced independence or the loss of a job. Those who know loneliness, isolation or depression are prime candidates to pair with a Stephen Minister who will be there with them to listen, to pray or just sit.  If you know of someone in need, contact Terry Smith at 409-382-3455 or Dawn Rigsby at 936-558-7427 for more information.
